Meet Dr. Sanjana Luther

Dr. Sanjana Luther graduated from University of Delaware Honors Program with a degree in biological sciences, liberal studies, and a certificate in business. She went on to receive her medical degree from Lewis Katz School of Medicine at Temple University in Philadelphia, PA. She then went to New York, where she completed her internal medicine internship and residency at Montefiore Medical Center in the Bronx. After her residency, she continued her training at Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai Morningside and West, where she completed her fellowship and served as chief fellow in her final year.

Dr. Luther has presented at national GI conferences and co-authored publications in medical journals and textbooks. She is board certified in gastroenterology, obesity medicine and internal medicine. In addition to practicing general gastroenterology and hepatology, Dr. Luther has special interests in obesity medicine, obesity-related gastrointestinal diseases, gastroesophageal reflux disease, colon cancer screening and prevention, irritable bowel syndrome, inflammatory bowel disease, and liver diseases including nonalcoholic fatty liver disease, alcohol associated liver disease, viral hepatitis, and cirrhosis. She is also interested in women’s health and reproductive health as it relates to gastrointestinal diseases.

When not taking care of patients, Dr. Luther enjoys spending time exploring local restaurants, hiking, traveling, and spending time with family and friends.
