American Society for Gastrointestinal Endoscopy Recognition

The American Society for Gastrointestinal Endoscopy (ASGE), a leading gastrointestinal medical society, has recognized Austin Gastroenterology and Austin Endoscopy Centers as part of its program specifically dedicated to promoting quality in endoscopy, in all settings where it is practiced in the United States.

Austin Endoscopy is one of 254 endoscopy units to be granted the recognition since 2009. The ASGE Endoscopy Unit Recognition Program honors endoscopy units that follow the ASGE guidelines on privileging, quality assurance, endoscopy reprocessing, and CDC infection control guidelines and that have completed specialized training on principles in quality and safety in endoscopy.

American Board of Internal Medicine (ABIM)

American Board of Internal Medicine (ABIM) certification has been the highest standard for internal medicine — and its 19 subspecialties — for over 70 years. ABIM certification means that our internists have the clinical judgment, skills, and attitudes necessary to deliver excellent patient care.

Accreditation Association for Ambulatory Health Care (AAAHC)

The AAAHC is a private, not-for-profit organization that was formed in 1979 to assist ambulatory health care organizations in improving the quality of care they provide to their patients. It accomplishes this by setting standards, measuring performance, providing consultation and education where needed, and ultimately by awarding accreditation to those organizations that are found to be in compliance with its standards.
