Join us on Wednesday, 4/22/20 at 12:00PM CST
Since the onset of the Coronavirus pandemic, Austin Gastroenterology has received a tremendous amount of calls from concerned patients asking if they should discontinue their immunosuppressant medications or infusion therapy. To help support patients with autoimmune conditions such as Inflammatory Bowel Disease, Rheumatoid Arthritis, Psoriasis, and Multiple Sclerosis, we are hosting a Facebook Live event with Dr. Pradeep Kumar as our speaker to provide timely information for patients and answer questions from our viewers.
Some of the topics Dr. Kumar will discuss during this Facebook Live event:
- What you need to know about autoimmune conditions and COVID-19
- Risks involved with discontinuing your immunosuppressant medication
- How biologic immunosuppressants work compared to steroid treatments
- Ways everyone can boost their immunity, even those taking immunosuppressants
Join us Wednesday, April 22 at 12:00PM CST on our Facebook Page, @AustinGastroenterology or visit our Video Library after April 23.
